Motorcyclist survives hit-and-run accident

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A motorcyclist is lucky to be alive after surviving a hit-and-run accident on a South Florida highway ramp.
Witnesses said a vehicle tapped the motorcycle's tires on the Interstate 95 ramp to westbound State Road 836, in Miami, Sunday.
The tap caused the motorcycle to flip, as the driver of the vehicle left the scene. "Thank God he is alive, but it was a scary scene. I was right behind him when it happened, and the guy just took off like he didn't care," said the victim's friend, Alberto Rios.
Rescue crews transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital. He suffered scrapes and bruises but is expected to recover.
