Woman at bus stop struck and killed by car

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A woman has lost her life after a vehicle struck and killed her.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene of the fatal accident, which occurred near Bird Road and 93rd Avenue, Thursday night.

According to authorities, a 64-year-old woman was sitting at the bus stop when the driver of a silver Dodge Neon lost control. The car became airborne and struck the woman, killing her instantly.

The driver stayed on scene and was questioned by police. Charges are pending.
