Water warning issued for Oakland Park

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Broward County Health Department has issued a no-swim advisory for the recreational waters of the North Fork of the Middle River.
Residents and businesses located between North Andrews Avenue and North Dixie Highway that border the river should avoid swimming, fishing, jet skiing or any water-related activities in that area.
The precautionary advisory comes a day after a sewer leak occurred in the area, Monday morning. The 16-inch sewer pipe burst at 36th Street and Northeast Sixth Avenue.
The North Fork of the Middle River will remain off limits until tests show acceptable bacteria levels.
