Police cruiser collides with car, 1 hospitalized

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Authorities are investigating a police-involved collision that sent another driver to the hospital.

The accident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, along Seventh Street and Northwest 37th Avenue. Authorities said the City of Miami Police officer collided with another car at the intersection.

Rescue crews took the civilian driver to an area hospital suffering from chest pains.

The officer was not hurt.

There is no word on who was at fault or if the slick streets played a factor.
