Dedication held for new, state-of-the-art aquatic center

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A local school has opened its new, state-of-the-art aquatic center.
Friday night, Ransom Everglades Upper School held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Ransom Everglades Aquatic Center, which features the Ansin Pool.
The facility will be available year-round for classes, competitions and community service activies.
WSVN vice president, Andrew Ansin, is an alumnus of the school. Ansin and his family attended Friday night's occasion. "Swimming and water polo have really been the cornerstone sports for Ransom for years, a tremendous number of state water polo and swimming champions, and it's ended up being a great program for the students and the student athletes," said Ansin.
The aquatic center plans to reach various organizations across South Florida, including the Overtown Youth Center, Breakthrough Miami, and the City of Miami Fire Department.
