South Florida school gets aquatic center

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A South Florida school is home to a brand new aquatic center.
Ransom Everglades held a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Saturday, for its new, state-of-the-art aquatic center.
WSVN and Sunbeam Properties Vice President Andy Ansin, who is an alumnus of the school, joined his family in taking part in the big event. "Swimming and water polo have really been the cornerstone sports for Ransom for years, a tremendous number of state water polo and swimming champions, and it's end up being a great program for the students and the student athletes."
The Ansin Pool is one of several pools available in the center for year-round classes, competition and community service.
The new facility plans to reach out to organizations across South Florida such as Breakthrough Miami, Shake-A-Leg Miami, the Overtown Youth Center and the Miami Fire Department.
