Tomatina Festival recreated in South Florida

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A South Florida landmark bar hosted its own Tomatina Festival, Saturday.

Hundreds of participants tossed tomatoes at each other at the first ever Tomatina Festival at Tobacco Road in Miami.

Organizers gathered 25,000 tomatoes which couldn't be sold or given away.

The celebration was modeled after the annual festival by the same name in Spain, La Tomatina festival.
