Dogs treated to Yappy Hour

SOUTH BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Dogs in South Beach were treated to their very own happy hour, Sunday.

Dog lovers and their pooches took in "Yappy Hour" on Lincoln Road in South Beach.

Owners enjoyed cocktails while their pets drank water from custom made bowls. "This is the first time I've ever designed a dog bowl but it's really exciting and I'm very excited to be here," said artist Michael Perez.

"Dogs are so important for people here in Miami and we want people to have a place for dog lover's to come with their friends," said one man.

Yappy Hour is scheduled to be a weekly event. The proceeds from each week will go to a local animal shelter.
