Officer uses cruiser to transport mattresses
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) -- A Miami-Dade police officer has been relieved of duty, just days before her retirement, for using her cruiser to transport mattresses.
Thirty-two-year veteran Sandra Lyles was off-duty when she transported two mattresses on the roof of her police cruiser. Officials said her actions were an abuse of officer privileges.
Lyles has since been relieved of duty, and her vehicle was taken away.
