4 arrested for video-taped beating of teen

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Broward Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of four young women connected to a mob beating caught on camera.
Those arrested, late Friday morning, included: Wayneisha Jones, 18, Keisha Fradin and Kennyque Black, both 20, and an unnamed juvenile of 17 years of age.
All four of those arrested were identified from a video of the beating after someone posted it on YouTube earlier this week. According to the BSO, the fight stemmed from an incident the day before. Deputies said, the victim, 18-year-old Celina Bennet, found herself involved in a heated argument with a fellow student at the alternative school she attends for at-risk teens in Oakland Park.
Bennet spoke out after the attack was recorded and then posted online. She said she was walking home when six to eight girls jumped her. "I had walked away, and as I'm walking to the bus stop, that's when a whole group of girls were in the car and just came out and jumped me," Celina said. "I don't even know any of them."
The 18-year-old said she was followed home. "It's just crazy because I've never been jumped like that before, and it was a new experience. All I could do was take the hits," she said.
Someone recorded the fight and posted the video on YouTube, which pained the teen's father, Ben Bennet, to see. "I've never had to deal with a situation where the crime was against my child," he said, "so I couldn't view it. It was very difficult to see her on the ground and having that many people attacking her when she wasn't even able to provide a defense. It was very difficult."
Celina was admitted to the hospital but later released. "The doctor told me, when she was released [from the hospital], to make sure that I kept her awake every two hours to make sure that she didn't suffer from a concussion," said Ben Bennet.
