Crews spray neighborhoods for mosquitoes

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Miami-Dade County is taking measures to rid neighborhoods of pesky mosquitoes.

Thursday night Miami-Dade County Public Works and Waste Management Department's Mosquito Control Section did an aerial spray.

Crews boarded a small plane equipped with chemicals that departed from Tamiami Airport. They sprayed Homestead, Florida City, Redlands, West Kendall and Sweetwater for mosquitoes.
