BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Authorities have arrested a man after a domestic dispute with his 4-year-old son's mother turned into a fiery attack.

Police said a domestic dispute lead Roosevelt Mondesir to set the 34-year-old woman on fire in front of a 7-Eleven store on the 7000 block of Lawrence Road, early Monday morning.

Investigators said Mondesir pulled up to the convenience store in his white Jaguar and leaped out with a gas container and poured it over his ex-girlfriend and then ignited the fire. Officials said, the 34-year-old managed to throw her burning shirt to the ground. Surveillance video shows Mondesir pursuing the woman with a large knife or machete. The woman was able to escape and run inside the convenience store where she held the door shut while the store's staff called 911.

Authorities rushed the woman to the Delray Medical Center where she is being treated for burns.

A police dog found Mondesir three hours later hiding in the bushes. He was also transported to the hospital for burns.
