BSO deputy arrested in prostitution sting

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A Broward Sheriff's Office deputy is accused of betraying the badge.

Christian Benenati, 40, was arrested in a prostitution sting operation.

According to detectives, the BSO deputy tried to pick up a woman who was an undercover cop in his own department.

BSO has since suspended Benenati with pay.
