Witnesses: 2 women crash into storefront, flee

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Witnesses claim two elderly women bailed after slamming into the front of a business.

The crash occurred at Eastern United Insurance near Southwest 72nd Street and 157th Avenue, Saturday morning.

The impact of the accident shattered glass and bent the door frames of the store. "This is a big hit for us, especially on Father's Day weekend," said store owner Jaime Ordonez. "I've got three kids at home. We're taking the weekend off just to relax and enjoy the family, and I get a call, and this is the aftermath of the call."

Ordonez estimates the damage at about $6,000 and expects the business to be closed for a couple of days while repairs are made.
