Big Mama gives to those in need for Father's Day

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A Good Samaritan is working to feed South Florida families this Father's Day.

Essie Reed, better known as "Big Mama," and her Team of Life held a Father's Day celebration at Lincoln Park in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday.

Big Mama brought tons of food to those in need. "We were in Miami this morning at Pork and Beans, and we only took lettuce down there, cake, pizza, and those fathers were so happy just to get that," Big Mama said, "and that's how I know we have to continue to do what we can do for our community to help them."

Those who came out to the park received a free meal and enjoyed a good time.
