Man struck by hit-and-run driver

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida man is in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver early Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred at 71st Street and Northwest 27th Avenue. Police said the driver then left the scene.

Emergency crews rushed the man to the hospital.

Police are now gathering information to created a description of the vehicle.
