MIAMI (WSVN) -- Mother Nature has provided plenty of rain Wednesday, forcing officials to issue a flood watch for all of South Florida until 10 p.m.

Flooding is a major concern as the rain continues to fall across South Florida. Some areas have received several inches of rain. Officials said they are prepared for the worst. "You never know, there's been times in the past where we've expected three inches of rain and had six inches of rain in a very short amount of time, so if that were to happen, we'd be ready to go. We'd have our pump stations ready to go," said Armando Vilaboy of South Florida Water Management.

The soggy weather caused a messy commute for drivers this morning as heavy traffic was present in both Miami-Dade and Broward County.

The rainy weather is expected to stick around through the rest of the week and into the weekend.
