Police searching for armed robber

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. (WSVN) -- A would-be robber proved himself armed and dangerous when he fired shots during a botched store robbery.

Surveillance video captured the man pointing his gun at a convenience store clerk in Lauderdale Lakes, late Thursday night.

The frustrated suspect tried to ram a locked door to reach the cash to no avail and eventually took off.

He fired some shots at the Kwik-E-Mart along 441 and Northwest 37th Street, but no one was hurt.
