Family of fatal hit-and-run victim makes plea
CUTLER BAY, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida family is desperate for answers after their loved one was struck and killed in a hit-and-run.
According to police, a car was struck while merging onto the Florida Turnpike, near Southwest 200th Street in Cutler Bay, Friday night.
The vehicle that was struck spun out of control and slammed into the side of a tow truck.

The driver was taken to the hospital with cuts and bruises. He said he has no memory of the accident.
The victim's daughter Lissette Gala urged the driver responsible for taking her mother's life to come forward. "When I was in the car, I prayed that nothing could take my mom. I guess it didn't work," she said. "For the person who did this, please come out and say it because you took my mother away from me."
