44 officers punished for speeding

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Dozens of police detectives are facing disciplinary action after being accused of speeding in their squad cars.

Forty-four Miami-Dade Police detectives are being disciplined for driving more than 90 mph in their cruisers, while on and off duty.

The officers will receive counseling and a traffic course for their violations.

Thirty-nine of the officers are losing their take-home cars for one month.
