Broward teen found safe after Amber Alert

MARGATE, Fla. (WSVN) -- An amber alert has been canceled after a girl was found safe and sound.

Twelve-year-old Megan Williams was found unharmed in Walton County, in the Florida panhandle, late Sunday night.

Williams was reported missing from her Margate home Saturday night.

Days before, her mother noticed e-mails and text messages from an unknown person. After questioning her daughter, she saved the phone number and e-mails, which, police said, ultimately led to them finding her daughter. "Clearly he was intending on meeting her," said Melissa Ford, the girl's mother, "and he tried as hard as possible to find out her address and her phone number. He pressured her a lot and gave her a lot of attention."

Police said she was found in the company of 30-year-old Dana Broberg of San Antonio, Texas. The man was arrested and charged with kidnapping and interference in the custody of a juvenile.
