Vehicle recovered in fatal Turnpike hit and run

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. (WSVN) -- The car behind a fatal hit and run on the Turnpike in Cutler Bay has been located in Monroe County.

The car's owner came forward one day after a car was struck while merging onto the Turnpike near Southwest 200th Street in Cutler Bay, late Friday night.

The car spinning out of control, then hit the side of a tow truck, killing the passenger, Elizabeth Sanchez. Two others injured.

The driver who fled is cooperating with police. The car behind a fatal hit and run Friday night has been located in Monroe County. It's owner is also cooperating with police.
