MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) -- Two women were reportedly shot outside a Miami Gardens home, killing one of them and her unborn baby.

The other woman, Krystal Tillman was allegedly shot in the leg but will survive. Miami Gardens Police said the victims were outside a duplex talking, at Northwest 180th Street and 40th Place, at around 12:30 in the morning Tuesday, when someone in a vehicle opened fire.

Miami Gardens Police Capt. Ralph Suarez said police responded to shots fired to find a horrific scene. "We found that we had two females that were shot," he said, "one of the females shot in the leg, the other, second one, was fatally shot and was transported to Ryder Trauma."

The 29-year-old pregnant woman, who has been identified as Angelese Ladson, was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital where she and her unborn baby boy later died. Tillman was transported to Jackson Memorial North in North Miami Beach where she is listed in stable condition.

Ladson's boyfriend could hardly speak after the horrible crime. "She's the best, the best. It happened so quick, everything happened so quick," said Davon Scott.

Scott's mother described the scene. "Everybody hit the floor, by the time we hit the floor, she was running in there looking for Momma, she called me mom, and she stopped in the hallway and dropped to her knees," said Makela Scott.

Police stayed on the scene through the early morning hours, speaking with neighbors and collecting evidence.

Family members said a silver Toyota Camry pulled up to the house and fired the fatal shots. They said there were three people inside the vehicle.
