Storms cause minor damage in So. Fla.

WEST PARK, Fla. (WSVN) -- Whipping winds and rain battered many areas of South Florida Tuesday.
In West Park, a huge tree branch came crashing down in the middle of the road near Southwest 37th and 58th Avenues due to the storms, toward the end of the day.
The branch knocked down a nearby fence and some powerlines. Crews responded to the scene Tuesday night to remove the limbs from the street so it can reopen.
A 7News viewer from West Park sent a picture of a car canopy that collapsed on top of several vehicles along Southwest 40th Avenue and 31st Street.
Meanwhile, in Margate, another 7News viewer snapped a photo of a large tree that was uprooted, then came dangerously close to some powerlines nearby.
Those living in western Broward and Miami-Dade and the coastal areas experienced the worst of the storms. In Deerfield Beach, a 7News viewer captured video of the strong winds and heavy rains as they battered a car dealership.
