Police investigate shooting death at strip mall

LAUDERHILL, Fla. -- Police are investigating a shooting that left one dead in a strip mall.
According to Lauderhill Police, Conrad Luke, 27, was found shot to death in the parking lot of a mall off 441, north of Sunrise Boulevard, late Wednesday night.
Police said someone called 911 after they heard multiple gunshots at around 11:30 p.m. That person later found Luke laying on the ground behind a green minivan, in front of a barber shop, and performed CPR until police arrived.
When police responded, they found Luke with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on scene by Lauderhill Fire Rescue.
Investigators remained on the scene until late Thursday morning. "The only information we do have on the subject is that he was about 27 years of age," said Lauderhill Police Captain Constance Stanley. "We don't have a motive at this time, so our detectives are still currently investigating."
Luke's sister said her brother was a good person, and she has been left devastated by shooting. "He's cool, he's fun, he's a positive person, so no matter what the problem is, it is not right to take his life," said Karen Luke.
Police believe there were multiple eyewitnesses to the shooting. "We do have several witnesses that were in the area," said Stanley. "We're trying to identify them."
Karen sent out a message to the alleged shooter. "Just come forward. It's not that serious. You're going to be found," she said.
Police are asking witnesses to please come forward by calling Broward Crime Stoppers. If you have any information on this shooting, call Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
