DJ Irie hosts charity weekend

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Miami Heat's house DJ is putting for a good cause.

DJ Irie hosting his eighth annual celebrity golf tournament on Miami Beach.

Louis Aguirre hit the links with some other South Florida A-listers, like Heat hall of famer Alonzo Mourning. "I can't be any prouder of that man and how he's taken what God has given him to bless others," said Mourning.

All proceeds benefit the Irie Foundation. "The Irie Foundation has a focus on kids in the middle school level. We do after school and it sets them up for high school," DJ Irie said.

The golf tournament is only the beginning of "Irie Weekend," which will continue with a celebrity bowling tournament and close out with a party Saturday night at the Fontainebleau.
