So. Fla. Marine returns home
MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida Marine received a happy homecoming from his family after returning home from a tour of duty.
Lance Corporal Stephen Someillan is back home after his second tour in Afghanistan.
His family was at the airport to greet him Friday night and are excited to see him for the first time since Thanksgiving. "When they go to war, we go to war with them. You don't sleep for seven months. It's very joyful," said his mom Diana.
Someillan is happy to be home with his family. "It's always great to see my family. It's the reason why I joined: to fight for our family," he said.
Someillan celebrated his 21st birthday over in Afghanistan. He says he has to catch up on a lot of partying.
