Bicyclist hospitalized after being struck by car

HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A bicyclist is recovering in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning.

The accident occurred at about 8 a.m. along East Eighth Avenue and 37th Street. The car remained on the scene. The bicycle was still underneath the car when officials arrived.

Rescue crews airlifted the cyclist to Jackson Memorial Hospital in unknown condition.
