Homeowner surprised after SUV crashes into house

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) -- A homeowner was startled but uninjured when a driver suddenly crashed his sport utility vehicle into her home, Tuesday afternoon.
Hardia Harrilel was about to take a nap when an uninvited guest came crashing into her home on Sheridan Street and North 70th Terrace, Tuesday afternoon. According to Hollywood Police, a driver in his sixties, behind the wheel of a Toyota RAV4, became disoriented and swerved off the road and crashed into Harrilel's living room.
The homeowner was in her bedroom at the time of impact. "I went to my bedroom to watch TV," she said, "and I made it in one minute, and I heard this loud bang, and I thought it was on Sheridan Street."
She then stepped out of her bedroom to a big surprise. "I woke up in my room, and I saw my whole living room was like crashed in," Harrilel said. "The whole wall was just banged in, and I was frightened, and when I came out now, I saw the RV outside and the guy, he already came out of the car, sitting in a chair, and he said he had some kind of heart problems."
The driver was transported to the hospital to be checked out, but no one was injured in all this. The house has since been boarded up and will need extensive repairs.
