Driver loses control, crashes into trees

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Rescue crews worked to free a driver from her vehicle after she slammed into several trees off the Florida Turnpike.

The driver lost control of her vehicle and veered off the northbound lanes of the Turnpike, near Sample Road, Tuesday.

The vehicle crashed into some trees near the highway, and fire rescue units had to cut the roof off the car to free the driver.

The victim was taken to Broward Health North Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It is unclear what caused the crash.
