Victims step forward claiming teacher molested them

MIAMI SPRINGS, Fla. (WSVN) -- More victims are coming forward claiming a former gym teacher charged with molesting a girl at a south Florida school molested them as well.
A mother, who did not want to show her face on camera, has come forward to let the public know that her other daughter was also allegedly molested by the same gym teacher at Miami Springs Middle School. "The worst thing that could happen to a mother is when something like that happens to her children," said the mother.
Carlos Usatorres, 32 faces charges after allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old female student in December 2010.
Since then, the mother of the victim has hired an attorney who plans to sue the Miami-Dade School District. The mother is now saying her older daughter, who was 14-years-old at the time, was also molested by Usatorres. "I wish that everyone would come forward, come out and tell everyone that, 'This has happen to me too,'" she said. "It's nothing to hide. I want this story to come forward because, for years, no one knows about it."
Family attorney Jeffrey Herman said police already knew about the other daughter, but now is when the girl wanted to make it public. "She told the police right away, so this is not something that's just coming out. This was known to the police, and she made it known, but now she has decided that she's ready to come forward herself and let the public know." said Herman.
The mother said both of her daughters were molested around the same time. "They were getting molested almost at the same time, but I found out later, and I found out the first day. The second day, I found out that my other daughter was molested from him too," she said.
Herman said another victim is allegedly saying she was also molested by Usatorres. "I've also heard now from a third victim who is allegedly saying the same kind of things happened to her, that she also was sexually assaulted," said the attorney.
Usatorres has only been charged in one of the cases.
According to Herman, he believes there are at least three victims that could become a major part in the lawsuit against the district.
