Iguana found in car's dashboard

VIRGINIA KEY, Fla. (WSVN) -- A Miami Seaquarium employee discovered an iguana inside his car shortly after leaving work Friday afternoon.

The iguana was lodged in the dashboard of the employee's vehicle.

Firefighters responded, and grabbed the lizard from the dashboard in about 15 minutes. "As soon as he pulled out of the Seaquarium, he realized he had about a 3.5 to 4-foot iguana inside of his vehicle. The only thing visible was its tail," Miami Fire Rescue Lieutenant Ignatius Carroll said. "One of the most unusual calls that we've received."

The animal sustained a few minor scratches. It was eventually released back into the wild.
