Surveillance video released of chain snatcher

SUNRISE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for the crook who snatched a woman's chain.

The robbery occurred in front of a liquor store at West Sunrise Boulevard and Sunset Strip in Sunrise last month.

Surveillance video captured the thief reaching out and yanking the chain off a passing woman.

The woman then flagged a car to help chase the crook down, but it turns out that was the getaway car.

The thief jumped into the car and took off.

The stolen chain is valued at $2,000.
