SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Police are searching for a shooter after two men were shot and injured in a drive-by shooting in Southwest Miami-Dade.

The shooting took place near Southwest 173rd Terrace and 102nd Avenue just before 10 p.m., Sunday.

Surveillance video showed the men sitting in the front yard of a home having drinks when a dark-colored sedan sped past them and fired shots.

A family member who provided the surveillance video said he is related to both victims. He said they were enjoying a celebration with loved ones when they came under fire.

“We were next in line, literally, to be targeted,” said the family member, who asked not to be identified. “I just hear the sound of bullets hitting concrete, like, ‘pop, pop, pop, pop, pop.'”

The victims were seen diving for cover as bullets sprayed the home.

The family member said bullets made their way into the residence where other relatives were refreshing their drinks.

“I just rushed outside, and then I just seen my brother, and I, like, froze,” he said.

According to Miami-Dade Police, one of the men was shot in the leg, and the bullet hit an artery. He was transported to Jackson South Medical Center in stable condition and has since been released.

“It just was so traumatizing, but it just bled out right there,” said the family member. “Good thing the paramedics and the cops responded so quickly.”

The other victim said he was grazed in the head by a bullet and treated on scene.

Monday evening he showed his injury to 7News.

“God bless. That’s all I can say: God bless,” he said.

Pictures taken after the shooting captured some damage to the home. Bullet holes were seen on doors and in parts of the wall of the home.

The family said the house next door was also shot up a few weeks ago.

Police have not provided a description of the sedan, as they continue to investigate.
