Child and man hospitalized after near drowning

HIALEAH GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) -- Two people, including a child, had to be hospitalized after nearly drowning in a lake.

Just before noon, Tuesday, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to reports of the drowning in a lake, near a condominium located at 10000 NW 80 Court.

Rescuers pulled both the adult and child out of the lake. They put them in waiting ambulances and transported them by ground to Palmetto General Hospital, located only a few minutes away from the scene, at 2001 W 68 St.

The man is in unknown condition, but the child suffered only minor injuries, according to fire rescue.
