FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A former Broward Teacher's Union president has been granted bond.
A judge, late Thursday, declared Pat Santeramo eligible to post bond, clearing the way for his release Friday morning.
The decision came after a court hearing that lasted several hours, regarding Santeramo's finances. He is accused of stealing nearly $300,000 from the teachers' union during the past five years.
