Man accused of sex assault denied bond

SURFSIDE, Fla. (WSVN) -- It's jail, not bail for a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Surfside.

Twenty-five-year-old Shawn Andrews appeared in a Miami-Dade courtroom after spending last week in a Broward Jail. The judge denied him bond.

Police said, Andrews sexually assaulted a 25-year-old woman in a Surfside alleyway two weeks ago.

Police arrested Andrews at a Fort Lauderdale park on Sunday.
