Stolen ponies returned to ranch

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A pair of stolen ponies have been returned to their rightful owner.

Employees at Circle C Youth Ranch received an anonymous tip on the whereabouts of their missing ponies, Rusty and Sundae.

The ponies went missing on June 30.

Witnesses said three men lied about the ponies wandering off, then put the animals in the back of their pickup truck and drove away from the ranch.

Campers at the ranch were in for a huge surprise when the ponies first went missing. Ranch manager Wayne Hershberger said, "They came in Monday after [the ponies] came up missing, and they wanted to know where these two ponies were, because they have their favorites to ride, and I'm sure they're going to be delighted to have them back."

Rusty and Sundae were found on a private property.

No criminal charges have been filed as of yet.
