FHP retrieves 4 stolen luxury vehicles

DAVIE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Florida Highway Patrol has rounded up some stolen luxury cars.

FHP troopers worked with the federal authorities to track down four pricey vehicles at a Dania Beach car dealership and a Parkland home.

Authorities said the cars were stolen in New York and New Jersey, then illegally shipped to South Florida. "I guess it just goes to show you: be careful," said FHP Sergeant Mark Wysocky. "If your deal looks too good to be true, I mean obviously if you're buying a 2012 Bentley from a small dealership in Dania Beach, or a small dealership other than the manufacturer's dealership, be careful."

FHP believes a recently busted New York crime ring is behind the stolen vehicle operation.

The four cars have a combined value of $385,000.
