Police investigating 2 dead bodies inside home

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are investigating after two dead bodies were discovered inside a home.
Police first began its investigation Monday afternoon, after arriving at a home located on Southwest 134th Court and 288th Terrace.
According to police, a father noticed that his son never went to work Monday morning, and he was concerned. The father then went to his son's home and discovered two dead bodies.
Police would only confirm that they discovered the bodies of a man and woman. "Because it is still early in the investigation, we are not releasing the identity of these two individuals," said Miami-Dade Police Department Detective Roy Rutland, "nor are we gonna make a connection as to say this is the son of this man or that this is the wife of the man inside the house."
Police believe it is possible that the deaths may be the result of a murder-suicide, but they are not ready to confirm that. "We are not going to rule out the possibility of this being a murder-suicide," said Rutland. "At the same time, it's too early. We're not ruling anything out."
Neighbors are stunned by the news and are concerned for their safety. "That's very sad. That's very sad, and it's scary too because we don't know what happened, and we don't know if it was a break-in or not," said Jesus Liz.
Liz described the neighborhood as quiet. "If you guys stay here all day," he said, "you're gonna see how quiet it is."
Ra Thompkins said she is afraid that if this is not a murder-suicide there may be a killer on the loose. "It's tragic in a way, but I hope for the safety of all my neighbors and myself, that this was a murder-suicide," she said.
If you have any information on these deaths, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
