Bank robber arrested at local restaurant

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have arrested a bank robber at a Denny's restaurant.

Police said the man walked into a Bank of America on the 1000 Block of North Federal Highway, Wednesday morning, and gave a teller a note demanding money. Officials said the man fled the bank with an unknown amount of cash to a nearby Denny's restaurant.

Police officers received word that the bank robber was inside the restaurant and cordoned off the area. One by one, they evacuated the restaurant. Authorities then quickly took the thief into custody.

Officials said everyone involved in the incident is OK.
