Officer accused of battery out on bail

PALMETTO BAY, Fla. (WSVN) -- A police officer accused of strangling his girlfriend has been released from jail.

Coral Gables Police Officer Eric Plescow has been charged with three counts of battery. Authorities said Plescow strangled his girlfriend, a dispatcher with the department, at his Palmetto Bay home.

There is no word on the girlfriend's condition.

Plescow is out on $4500 bond.
