Restaurant robbery caught on camera

MEDLEY, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for a man who was caught on camera burglarizing a local restaurant.
Surveillance cameras rolled as the man busted through the door of La Mia restaurant located at Northwest 72nd Avenue and South River Drive on July 20.
Officials said the robber made off with the cash register. Though the register did not have a fortune inside, the crime still proved quite costly to Alexi Salvat, the restaurant's owner. "But the door was like $300 to fix, the register is like another 300 or something," Salvat said. "He took like around $200 and the licenses. All the licenses and everything were inside the drawer."
If you have any information on this robbery, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
