Pedestrian struck by driver

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A pedestrian struck by a driver is recovering at a local hospital, Thursday.

Police said the driver struck the person along Southwest 42nd Street and 137th Avenue around 6 a.m. Officials said the driver remained on the scene. Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital.

Authorities closed the roads in the area, but they have all since reopened.
