Girl helps save cousin from alleged kidnapper

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A 7-year-old girl is being hailed a hero after she helped save her 4-year-old cousin from an alleged kidnapper.
Police said, Tuesday afternoon, Brandon was playing out front of his apartment with his cousin, Anari, when David Moore, who is a stranger to the family, walked right up to little Brandon and tried to take him. That's when Anari started screaming for help, yelling, "Gimme my cousin! Gimme my cousin!"
Anari said Moore continued to pull Brandon's arm. "I had to fight the man, so he could let Brandon go," she said.
Moore was eventually scared off. Police took him into custody a short time later. During the incident, Police said Moore shouted, God told him to take the child.
Brandon also confirmed Moore's alleged reasoning for attempting to kidnap him. "He said, 'God said take me.'"
Moore appeared in bond court where he told the judge, "I believe in God." He was denied bond.
Brandon's mother said she is very fortunate that Anari was there to help. "I was lucky that people were there to see it because if no one was there, God knows I probably wouldn't have my son today," said Shaneka Lee.
Moore was charged with one count of attempted kidnapping and one count of false imprisonment. He's being held with no bond.
