Burglar at large after cutting hole in store roof

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A crafty crook remains at large after he cut through the roof of a South Florida business and made off with several pricey items inside.
The suspect reportedly carved a hole in the roof of a computer repair shop along North Federal Highway and Northeast 39th Street, sometime late Thursday night.
Once inside, the thief ransacked several rooms. He eventually found the computers customers dropped off for repair, and stole five computers. He also made off with three broken iPhones.
Jennifer Faiotto and her husband own the burglarized business. "It's a huge mess," she said. "It's hard because I have no idea what we're going to do."
Then, the burglar created another hole to gain access to the cell phone store next door. A security camera captured the thief as he peeked around and grabbed a few boxes.
He only found cell phone cases, however.
Faiotto and her husband have a 2-year-old son, and their 12-year-old business is their livelihood. Now, the couple must clean up the mess the crook left behind. "You get the most expensive system, cameras, alarms, and when you need them, they don't work," said Faiotto.
If you have any information on this burglary, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
