Miami's airport Metrorail Station opens

MIAMI (AP) -- Miami's new Metrorail Station that will connect major hubs in the city to the airport is now open.

Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen will participate in Saturday's grand opening of the Miami International Airport Metrorail Station and the Orange Line Metrorail Service.

A county statement says both services are the largest expansion of the county's Metrorail system since its opening in 1984.

Ros-Lehtinen said in a news release that the project will "create jobs and during these tough economic times that is the best part of this project."
