Boat catches fire near home

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to a boat that caught fire next to a home.

The blaze broke out Sunday at about 2:30 p.m., at Southwest 21st Street and 31st Avenue. Firefighters arrived on scene to find thick, heavy smoke.

A 7News viewer sent pictures of the boat engulfed in flames.

Investigators said part of the house sustained damage but no one was injured.
