Alleged voter fraud incident under investigation

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Authorities are investigating a case of potential voter fraud, right before the August primary.
A 71-year-old Hialeah woman said she trusted a woman to fill out her absentee ballot.
However, the woman took off with the ballot, and the elderly woman said she has no clue for whom she voted.
Local activist Vanessa Brito is calling for criminal charges in the case. "It's something that needs to be addressed," said Brito. "I asked them if, after August 14, if they would be able to create some type of task force to supervise what's going on."
State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle released the following statement: "All of the physical evidence gathered in this case, including the opened ballot, has been taken into custody. We intend to thoroughly investigate all ballot-related matters."
