Police arrest teacher for sex with minors

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have arrested a South Florida teacher accused of having sexual encounters with minors.

On Monday, police arrested and charged 30-year-old Andre Martinez with two counts of unlawful sex with two students under the age of 18. According to authorities, Martinez teaches at Keys Gate Charter School.

Tuesday, Martinez was released on bond.

Police said the victims are former students and the illegal contact happened between 2010 and this year.

Martinez has since been released from jail on $15,000 bond.
